This Privacy Policy explains what personal data ArabSouqna (the "Platform") collects, how we use it, and โ importantly โ how your contact details may be shared with businesses so you can receive quotes.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Quote/lead data: when you request a quote you provide your name, phone number, optional email, and your message.
- Business data: listing details, and for verification, government documents (stored privately, accessible only to our administrators).
- Usage data: searches, pages viewed, and approximate country (for language selection).
2. Cross-border sharing of your contact details โ your consent
By submitting a quote request or open request, and by ticking the consent box at registration, you explicitly consent to ArabSouqna sharing your contact details (name, phone number, and any email or message you provide) with one or more businesses โ including businesses located in other Arab countries (cross-border) โ for the sole purpose of those businesses contacting you with quotes and offers.
- For a direct quote, your details are shared with the single business you contacted.
- For an open request, your details are shared with businesses that match the category and country you selected, which may be located in a different country from you.
- We share your details only for the purpose of you receiving quotes. We do not sell your personal data.
- You may withdraw consent or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us; this will not affect quotes already sent.
3. How we use data
- To operate the directory, search, and quote-matching service.
- To connect Buyers and Businesses as described above.
- To verify businesses, prevent fraud, enforce our policies, and comply with the law.
4. Verification documents
Government documents uploaded for verification are stored privately and are accessible only to ArabSouqna administrators for the purpose of reviewing verification. They are never shown publicly or shared with Buyers or other Businesses.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent, subject to applicable law. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data and retain it only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
